David Kolker, J.D., LCSW MCAT. David is a partner and co-founder of Counselling Centers of America in Indianapolis. He is currently CEO of Addiction Rehab Centers, a residential, primary mental health and substance use disorder facility in Indianapolis and Mooresville.
Kolker has been providing in-depth therapeutic services for over 10 years and specializes in Childhood abuse and trauma. This includes sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, the issues underlying most individual hardships as an adult. David’s style involves sharing and self-disclosing his personal struggles, to provide trust with the patient(s).
As is the mantra for CCA, David espouses a “Different way to treat people.” He states, “we are here to help ‘People’ first and do so in a manner that provides them the best opportunity to attain wellness.”
Kolker received his Law Degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and his master’s in social work from Florida Atlantic University. His is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Florida and Indiana.
David provides individual and group therapy and he and his partner Ariel Scruggs, LMHCA, share clients for groups or individual sessions (with the patient’s expressed approval) based upon needs of the client. Ariel has been providing in-depth therapeutic services for over 4 years and specializes in issues related to marriage and family and underserved populations suffering from Substance Abuse Disroders and Primary Mental Health issues. She believes in forming an alliance with her clients as a means of developing trust and fostering an environment whereby the client has the best chance of success. She states, “Our primary goal is to see individuals grow and flourish with our support. It is our job to walk side-by-side with our clients on the journey to wellness.”
